The Cisco Desk Phone 9800 Series is a series of VoIP phones. Released in 2024, the 9800 series is Cisco's current and most recent lineup replacing the 7800 and 8800 series. The main new feature is the new PhoneOS software which unifies the UCM/SEP and MPP/SPA firmware's and models of it's predecessors. One phone with one firmware can be used on Webex calling, Unified Call Manager (CUCM), BroadSoft, and third-party Internet Telephony Service Providers (ITSP) or IP-PBX. Whereas before UCM and MPP modes were separate firmware's and historically, separate models. These phones also feature a revised more modern design & UI, hardware action button which can be used a panic button to comply with Alyssa's Law, features designed for Webex and other cloud environments such as Calendar integration and NFC, status lights, magnetic hook switch, and AI noise removal and cleanup.
