AT&T E586/596 series

The E586/E596 series are a series of cordless phones manufactured by Vtech for AT&T in 2004. The models that end with only a 0, 0B or 0C (E5860, E5900B, E5960C) have no dial-pad on the base meaning you can only make an outside call using the handset. The models that end with a 2BC, 5, or 5C (E5862BC, E5865, E5965C) have a dial-pad on the base meaning you can make an outside call using the base, or handset. The models that have a C at the end have the E580-2 handset that has a color graphical display. The models that don't have a C at the end have the E580-1 handset that has a monochrome graphical display. The E580-1 and E580-2 handsets are compatible with the E5860, E5862BC, E5865, E5900B, E5960C, and E5965C bases. The features on the handsets include: Standby screen Wallpapers, musical polyphonic ringtones, (Jazz, Beethoven, PopRock), sound select, playing answering machine messages from the handsets, handset speakerphone, using AA rechargeable batteries and turning on certain features for the base using the handset. The base features include: An answering machine, speakerphone, Base-ID to register handsets, number announce, base ringer, and expandability to 8 handsets (E580-1, E580-2)
